Moonlight climber

Gray fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) is, by far, the most arboreal of all the canids. Its’ widely rotating paws, sharp claws, and huge tail, assist in nightly acrobatic climbs to the tops of tallest trees in Sonoran desert. There it preys on roosting birds and feeds on a carrion stowed away from previous night's hunts.

This photo is taken about 35' (12 m) off the ground, under the February's 8th (2012) gorgeous full moon light.
